Hey everyone! My name is Hunter Sloan and I am on our current marketing team, serving as our Open Recruitment Specialist. This position recently just finished up for me but it was such a rewarding time. Before this position, I already had lots of leadership experience, but none like this. Not only did I bring in such a fantastic alpha class, but I learned how to navigate spreadsheets/forms, focused on how to better represent myself and this organization and be able to strengthen my public speaking skills. These are such great skills to have and I’m so glad I was able to gain more leadership experience through my sorority position. Being able to run open recruitment in the spring had made me feel a connection closer to ADPi that I haven’t felt before. This past fall, during primary recruitment, I had been disaffiliated and served as a recruitment counselor to help potential new members find their homes. I did not get to have the same recruitment experience as my sisters, so this spring recruitment period was super important to me. I represented Panhellenic as a whole in the fall, but it was special to finally be able to represent ADPi this time around. Through this recruitment period, I was able to become closer to sisters and meet the future women of Theta Beta. I’m confident in this new alpha class and the things they will bring to this chapter. It has been so rewarding watching things fall into place and watching myself fall more in love with ADPi. These sisters feel like my home and my position allowed me to see that even better.💎
