ALPHA DELTA PI LOVES RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES
Throughout the year, we give back to the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston, SC by visiting multiple times each semester. We have sisters volunteer to make dinner, baked goods, and clean up for the families who are staying there. Sisters can also save their can pop-tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
There are many philanthropy events that we put on and have put on in the past to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. The main one being our Philanthropy Week each year. Throughout the week, we host pop-tab wars where all Coastal organizations compete to see who's collected the most pop-tabs over the year. We table on-campus with games and banners to fund-raise as well as hosting our annual KOJ "King of the Jungle" pageant. These events raise thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House each year.
This is important to our chapter because the Ronald McDonald House Charities is where many families spend several weeks or months to get treatment in the McLeod Children's Hospital for their seriously ill or injured children. A Ronald McDonald House is a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by to their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

Beach Clean-Ups with Love Blue
Our sisters love to get involved and give back to the Conway community that supports us. In the past, we've participated in beach clean-ups partnered with Love Blue Inc., the #1 youth-led nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a sustainable future by inspiring coastal communities to take action against the pollution crisis on our oceans and beaches.

McLeod Children's Hospital
McLeod Children's Hospital is located in Florence, South Carolina. Each year, our sisters do donation drives and take a trip each Christmas to bring cards our sisters created and new toys to the children. Learn more about McLeod Children's Hospital on their home page.
Giving Back On-Campus: Relay for Life & Pack the Pantry
Relay for Life is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and Coastal's own Relay for Life organization whose goal is to raise awareness and donations for cancer research. Typically Theta Beta partners with another organization to “compete” against other organizations through fun events throughout the day, while raising money. Our sisters also do a special lap every year to remember our “Diamond in the Sky” sister.
Pack the Pantry is an initiative CCU created to have canned and non-perishable goods available to all students, faculty, and staff at no cost in order to help reduce hunger and improve nutrition on campus. In the past, we've partnered with organizations to collect donations for the CINO Pantry to help defeat food insecurity at Coastal.
