Jana Whitmire is from Travelers Rest, SC. She is a Political Science major with a minor in Sociology, with the hopes to pursue my masters in public policy and work as a policy analyst in Criminal Justice reform. Jana is a part of Alpha ‘20. She serves as our Greek Week coordinator! She is a member of sociology and criminology club and a member of Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. She serves as treasurer and secretary of college democrats.
According to Jana, “My favorite thing about coastal is the feeling you get when being here. This place is so welcoming and feels like home away from home. The professors are so willing to help you succeed, not only in school but once you leave coastal as well.”

Emily Bates is from Spartanburg, SC. She is a Public Health major with a focus in Health Administration, with the hopes to work in hospital administration. Emily is a part of Alpha ‘19. She currently serves as our VP of Event Management! She is a part of the LiveWell office at CCU and the Relay for Life team where she served as our as captain.
According to Emily, “My favorite thing about Coastal is the Chanticleer Spirit. I feel like with anything we do, there is always so much passion and coastal spirit behind it. This campus makes it so easy to be involved and love your school.”

Sarah Grossbauer is from Grand Forks, ND. She is a Political Science major and a Women and Gender Studies minor, with the hopes to go to law school then practice civil or immigration law and then hopefully work in policy. Sarah is a part of Alpha ‘20. She has served as President of Coastal College Dems, VP of College Dems of SC, National Programs Director of College Democrats of America. Sarah is a member of Coastal College Democrats, College Democrats of SC, College Democrats of America, Triota Logo Honor Society, and HerCampus.
According to Sarah, “My favorite thing about coastal is all of the opportunities it has given me and I LOVE campus!”
